Bought this 06’ 330i for $2k, it’s not a bad car, actually pretty clean for the miles (it’s a lot of miles, I don’t really care) 280,000 miles. Nothing has broken since driving for 2 months, just been doing basic maintenance as of now. Did replace the drive shaft/half shaft for a new carrier plate, replaced brakes, spark plugs, oil, etc. only thing really wrong with it is the idiot who cut the muffler off cut into the gas tank. Nothing some HDPE plastic welding won’t fix tbh. It’s got leaks, I expected that though.
I haven’t worked on BMWs too much, this is only my second one and I love a challenge of getting old high mile cars back into decent enough shape to keep going. So I figured I’d ask for some more experienced eyes on to what this leak is. I’m thinking it’s valve cover gasket, or even the cover itself. But it is a LOT of oil. Definitely been like this for a while.
