Should I multiclass my tempest cleric?

I wasn’t interested in doing the tempest cleric/sorcerer build as i’ve have it a try before so wanted something new. I saw a lot of posts saying they loved straight cleric to level 12 and thought i’d try that.
This is my first Tav run as a cleric and at level 5 just seems lackluster :/ i was thinking about going and finding some reverb gear and just entered the Underdark so i’m sure that’d be a boost but would a couple levels in paladin make a difference? Thanks!
