Item Destructibility?

So I recognize that BESM takes the default position that

Usually, an Itemโ€™s Health Points does not play a role in adventures, but can be useful to understand should you want to track damage to objects

Does this mean that I need to assign Armor to every item I want to make destructible? I'm asking because in the steampunk thing I'm working on (A GURPS to BESM Conversion) there was an engineer inspired by Daedalus and the wings he made are specifically also destructible.

That doesn't really fit for say, a feathery waxy mass. Should I assign a level of Tough instead, or give them (and other similar objects with finite ability to suffer damage) the Light Armor feature?
