I know this is obvious to everyone here, but holy shit it’s so frustrating how obvious you can be about being a lesbian and still get messages from cis men.

I’ve been seeking a relationship and exploring myself sexually recently, which has honestly been a great experience in many regards. However, I’m still baffled every day by how often I get messages from cis men, despite the fact that I advertise everywhere that I am not looking for them. It makes me want to pull out my hair. Nothing is more deflating than putting up a personal on a subreddit, getting a notification for a dm request, and looking through the person’s profile and realizing it’s clearly a man. I cannot understand what goes on in these dudes’ minds.

The worst part is that it’s not even specific to Reddit. I’ve been trying fetlife too, which has already not been great because I live in the middle of nowhere, which means I have no local scene really. On fetlife, I’ve only received messages from men despite putting in capital letters “no cis men” on my posts and on my profile.

I know there’s nothing I can do about this, but I just wanted to vent my frustration with some folks that would get where I’m coming from. I just wanna find my kinky someone so I can stop reading gross ass DMs 😭
