i'm hoping to find one or two friendly souls who'd like to chat regularly and grow into friends.

A few things first: i'm one of the many introverts here and talking to people is scary and a lot of effort. i like to put in lots of effort for my close friends, but it takes me a while to get to know people enough to get to that point of trust and comfort. i don't have the energy to keep up with many new people at once, which is one of the reasons why i've been hesitant to post. i know there are many lonely people here and every one of you deserves to find a close friend or Dom or sub! i wish you with all my heart that you do!

But so if i don't reply to your message, that can have many different reasons, so please don't take it personally. Getting to know new people is difficult for me and i've learnt over many years of trial and error, that unfortunately you can't keep up talking with everyone at once and that it's best to look for people who share some interests or are at least in some things similar-minded. Therefore, i'm looking for something very particular - people who share at least a few of my somewhat niche interests. Don't hesitate to reach out even if you don't share any of them, but if you do share one or two, then you're more likely to get a response. (Unless i suddenly feel like hiding and disappearing from reddit for a bit - that sometimes happens, too, sorry. :P)

The reason i'm looking here is that i am hoping to find a friend from whom i don't have to hide that i have a Sir and am living the dynamic 24/7.

i tend to get along best with people who are slightly older than me, but i don't really care how old or young you are, as long as you are an adult.

i also don't care how far away in the world you live - i love learning about new places. However, it's definitely a plus if you're in a European time zone and on the northern hemisphere. Could be fun to meet at some point if things go well.

Now a little about my interests: i absolutely love music and aspire to be a composer. i create music with software when i can motivate myself and also play a number of instruments. my passions in music are folk/traditional music, cinematic music, classical music, historically informed performance practice and improvisation. i'd love to pick up tapdancing again at some point, too.

i also find science and maths rather interesting. When i watch YouTube, it's usually videos about maths. Numbers are cool. Everything else about maths is also cool. Please don't not like maths, i'd like to watch maths videos together. ;) Ok kidding, that's absolutely no requirement.

Furthermore i'm trying to learn as many languages as possible. i'll only stop once i can speak and write all the languages fluently that duolingo has and will ever have to offer. Before that i can't die.

Ever heard of hypnosis? No it's not some magical mind-juju. It's a very interesting thing that can be very helpful for changing your emotional state and getting rid of bad or learning new, good habits. And it can help with anxiety... i'd like to explore it more with other hypnosis enthusiasts!

i also really like other mind-related things. How we learn, how our memory works and how to use it more efficiently and also how our mind can be deceived. i love magic shows and Derren Brown is my all-time favourite.

Another thing that's important to me are books. i love books. i read them. i hug them. i bind them. No, this isn't bondage darnit. i'm making them. >:(

Ok, so i also like to make dumb jokes and puns all the time.

From time to time i like to try out different crafts like sewing, crocheting, drawing, woodworking. Cooking can be fun too. Or rewarding at least. i'm vegetarian by the way. i don't mind if you're not, but if you are we'll probably get along splendidly.

Another thing very close to my heart is nature. i wish there was more around where i live, but i dream every day of taking long hikes in the mountains, forests or by the sea. i like mild and cool climate the best. i love the quiet when no human sounds can be heard. Only birds, wind and maybe rain or waves.

i get along well with animals. Or let's say mammals and birds, the rest i prefer to admire from a distance. i like cats and dogs alike and horses are my best friends.
