Hi everyone, I’ve always wondered about certain things I’ve observed on here and wondered if anyone had insight.
One thing I’ve noticed is that women’s posts are often upvoted which confuses me bc this only exacerbates the issue of women getting inundated with too many dms, which is bad for her bc she may never even see the dm from the potential great match, and it’s bad for the suitors bc it’s just that much more competition. I’d think it’d be far better that women only get responses from people that specifically searched for some criteria or keyword that brought them to her post rather than having everyone on here message bc her post is on the front page for two days in a row.
So who is upvoting personals ads and why?
My second confusion is people seem to be sharing posts. These are personals ads. Why and to whom are you sharing them? Why are they being reposted on other apps? It feels creepy to me and it’s strange the option is even there for personals. Am I missing something? Why would someone share someone else ad elsewhere?
