Recently, I found someone on here who brought a bit of joy to my life, but she was only passing through town, so we saw each other three times, and then she had to continue on her travels. We were not at all close to being an ideal match, but our time together offered the promise that Reddit sometimes meets some of your needs.

As the title of this ad indicates, I'm a cantankerous kind of guy. No one would ever accuse me of being overly agreeable. This is neither an admission of guilt nor a brag. For some ladies, this is a plus, though I know for others it will not be. It just is what it is.

I'm a homebody and a lifelong learner. I am always curious about something, and I'm usually mulling over something that I heard about in a podcast, trying to decide for myself whether it makes sense or not. I don't have thick books on my shelves, and I don't attend hoity toity gatherings to talk about lofty things. I just listen and I think, and I talk to my close friends about what I've heard and what I think about what I've heard.

I get stressed easily, so I'm looking for an affectionate girl to spend some time with to work that stress out with me in the bedroom, but I would like us to be able to text in between get-togethers and to talk while we spend time together. It is not essential to me that this turn into a long-term thing, though I would welcome that if it happened.

I don't believe in lists of deal breakers, nor do I believe in long lists of must-haves, but these are some things that I like in a woman:

• Being slow to anger.

• Being a good listener, and someone who asks follow-up questions instead of just talking about herself.

• Laughing easily.

• Being submissive -- and in particular, being submissive in bed.

The more of those characteristics you have, the better we'll get along. The only things that I absolutely require are that you are:

• Not abrasive.

• Affectionate. It would be great if you were into deep, passionate, French kissing, and you stroked my face and head. Glomming onto me like a koala bear is nice, too.

• Have a high sex drive. A very high sex drive would be **even better**, and a lack of impulse control...well...come sit right next to me.

I'm a remote worker, so I have the ability to have someone over even during the day, so if you have the ability to come over to me during the day, that's highly desirable. (I have a lot of equipment at home, so it's not feasible for me to telework at your place.)

To be clear, this ad is for meeting and fooling around/having sex upon that first meeting. Exactly how we decide to set that up -- whether or not to meet in public first, and exactly how to proceed from there -- is completely negotiable (I have plenty of spicy ideas), but please be on board with that general agenda. I don't intend to kick you out after the first round. That's not how I treat people. We'll cuddle and talk and probably snack before round two (and hopefully round three).
