Good evening. As the title states, I'm recently 40. I live alone with two cats and a leopard gecko, have a career, I've never been married, and don't have any children (I've had a vasectomy). I'm 5'9" brown hair and have a dad bod.

I am still hoping to find the right person for me, and as you can still by the post I haven't given up hope.

More about me: I love hiking and being outdoors and active. I love cooking (I have posted some of my food on reddit) and trying new things. I find cleaning to be a stress reliever for me. I love going to flea markets, and thrift stores hunting for Elvis records, under priced comic books, or cursed objects. I love my job and while it can be very mentally demanding at times, I prioritize a healthy work/life balance. My music tastes are all over the map but like The Menzingers, Silverstein, Radio Company, and everything from emo to classic rock to some limited country or rap.

I decorate my living space with Halloween decorations and have an appreciation for anything creepy, spooky, or goth even though I I dress like anyone's Dad in flannel most of the time. (My living space is posted).

About my style: I am a daddy type dom to my core. I really enjoy a needy partner who wants someone to rely on, and trust and I really look forward to building that trust with someone. Local is ideal but if you'd be wanting to relocate eventually, that is completely great too. If this will be an online thing for a while we can talk ok the phone or FaceTime and do virtual dates and exchange care packages to make the distance feel smaller.
