I hope you've had a nice long weekend. I'm just back from a couple weeks in England so I'm preparing to jump back into the grind tomorrow. I'm about to fire up the grill, then later I'll get a workout in and then pour myself some scotch and get some work done. And I'd love some company tonight, and maybe someone to say good morning to tomorrow.

First, an introduction. I turned 50 a couple weeks ago and I write for a living. I’m the guy with the beard and flannel shopping for plumbing parts who also has a masters degree in journalism and put out a book of poetry 25 years ago. I’m a soccer nerd and a coffe snob.

Physically ... I shave my hair off because if I don't, I resemble Art Garfunkel (google it if you're too young to know who that is). My beard is more salt than pepper these days, and I keep it neatly trimmed. My eyes are bright blue and have a little mischief in them. I'll be happy to share photos or video chat if we connect.

As a Daddy, my first priority is to take care of you. To guide you gently. I'm not really interested in pain or whatever for its own sake. I just want obedience. I will set you straight when you misbehave (I definittely don't mind taming a brat on occasion) but really all I want to hear is "Yes Daddy" and all I want to say is "Good girl." I also love to teach and help you discover yourself, so if you're new to this or just exploring, I would enjoy that. Don't be intimidated by lack of experience.

So ... a few things we can talk about to get acquainted, if you'd like: in England I visited a big country home in Cornwall that a relative of mine built 400 years ago, and I'm working with one of the heirs to do some ancestry research. I'm outdoors whenever I can be - been camping a half dozen times this summer, including two kayak backpacking trips. I have undergrad degrees in literature and theater. I think Ted Chiang is maybe a little overrated. The taut line hitch is the best and most useful knot. I'm way too invested in third-division American soccer. I love smoking ribs on just a regular charcoal grill. I like to play along with Led Zeppelin on the cheap little drum set I have.

Also, I want to know what music you're listening to. Your favorite authors. What you do to keep busy every day. I'm kind of intensely curious about everything (professional hazard) so I'll want to learn everything about you.

And what about you? Not sure I have a physical type, but if I did I might call it "sporty." I kinda like an age gap, so if you're younger, don't feel intimidated. If you're closer to my age, that's great too, if we connect. More than anything I'm looking for that muse ... someone sweet, smart, charming and cute to inspire me to find exactly the right words to make her swoon. Someone who can make me feel handsome, sexy and desired. Someone willing to lean into this little adventure. Someone open to feelings, to exploration, to innuendo, to romance. Someone willing to let me earn her submission. Someone open to lots of texts, voice calls, maybe even video calls when the time comes.
