BDSM has been and always will be, misunderstood. To those who have never experienced it and have no desire, it will always be this disgusting act of disrespect. Those who have experienced it and enjoyed it understand it differently. They understand it not as disrespectful, but as the ultimate form of respect. Respect that their dark desires and taboo fantasies will not have them looked down upon, but seen as an equal to someone with the same mind.
Even within the community, there are those that long for the more simple, tame and popularized acts. Then there are those that crave the deeper, darker and most misunderstood conditions to pleasure. Neither are wrong.
The commonality of the two is that the feeling of being respected for who they are behind closed doors is a luxury that soon becomes a necessity once itβs felt. Unashamed, I fall into the darker category, and desire someone who wants to be respectfully understood like no one else has been able to. A person who sees not just a master, but a key to her pleasure and true self.
