My state's medicaid department made an error and decided I made $0 and qualified for Medicaid. They contacted my state insurance marketplace to have me removed from my health insurance. I didn't get any notices until I was already in the hospital recovering from my revision Labiaplasty.
Now I have to go through the Medicaid application and fail so I can get back on the healthcare I need. Positive is I found out that I'm covered for any post-op care for 90 days.
Still not sure where I am with healthcare past that. I'm disabled, chronically ill (genetic disorder), autistic, and I have ADHD.
The reason I never got the notices: My email address update never processed even though they said it did because the state can't handle email addresses longer than 24 characters including the @____.com part. In 2023.
I also found out the reason why I can't move into my new home yet is because the contractor took "I don't need to move in until the end of January" as a license to slow walk my job and take a bunch of others in between... So I've been waiting for months while they've been doing a ton more work. Yay.
