Why do people just think they can start off dominating?

Post Body

Despite making posts in other bdsm subreddits that do not indicate I'm looking for a dominant people respond just demanding obedience. This surprises me. Shows me there are way to many people who don't understand the trust and dynamic of dominate and submissive. Is this really that common? Let me give an example. Someone started a conversation telling me to undress and that they are my master now. When I told them

  1. I wasn't looking for a dominant and
  2. That's not how a dominant and submissive works.

They decided to tell me I'm a bad submissive. This made me out right laugh at them. I informed them that I am infact well behaved cause I'm following my Masters orders which are I'm only his submissive. Also that demanding submission isn't how BDSM works cause it's a trust and mutual understanding.

But seriously, is this how bad it's gotten? I haven't been in the BDSM world for awhile because of life events and only recently decided to get back into it. Just seems crazy.
