My base position is included (27) but I am currently on a TA into a Band 3 directorship (which supervises my base). I am currently competing for the excluded position in a permanent capacity.
When I took this role I got an 8% pay increase - so if the BCGEU gets an inflation based pay increase I will be making as a Band 3 essentially what I would be making as a 27 but with way more responsibility and extra time put in.
I guess what I'm wondering is, if included positions get an increase is this also likely to be mirrored in the excluded roles?
It is exactly what the union is fighting for for their members. I hope they are successful.

The salaries for 9s, 11s, 18s are way too low. Those are the grids where the increase is so much more needed.
