Nursing (BSN) Program
Post Body

Hi all,

I just wanted to come on here and ask (hopefully someone in nursing/someone who’s going through this process might see this post), if anyone knows how I’m able to register/sign up for the courses listed in this photo above. I’m interested in potentially applying to BCIT’s BSN (Nursing) program in the future, and I noticed that in addition to there being high school course requirements, they also require a number of post-secondary level courses as requirements.

Do I need to be admitted into an actual degree program of some sort at BCIT to take these classes? Or am I able to somehow just register for these courses specifically and these courses ONLY?

And if anyone knows, are these courses offered in a similar fashion to how many community colleges work? Where general courses are offered, and you’re able to just sign up and take anything? Without having to actually apply and then wait months and months (like when applying to universities like ubc, sfu, etc.), before attending the school at the beginning of the next term in September or January?

If anyone reading this (or someone you know), is thinking of applying for the BSN program in the future, is in BCIT’s BSN program currently, or is looking into taking the listed requirements above (just like I am!) please comment if you have any information/advice/anything for me! Anything helps.

Thanks all!
