Having played in the Kobe 8s now for a couple of pretty intense sessions, one difference I definitely feel is the cushioning. The React foam that they used to replace Lunarlon is definitely a step down- so much so that I felt I couldn’t do what I wanted on the court. After the first couple of hours, I ended up switching the midsole with the Strength system from the SPO Player 1 Plus. I found this to be way more forgiving and I felt it gave me a lot more lockdown. Traction remains top tier as usual and remained elite even after playing in the usual dusty 24 hour fitness gyms we’re all used to.
How does everyone else’s experiences compare?
