Hey folks. I have a noob question regarding grilling a Ribeye steak. I don't grill often but I'm wanting to grill a Ribeye on my old smokey. My method was going to be 1) Season ribeye with Kinder's "The Blend" on both sides and let it come to room temp, around 30 mins or so 2) Prep grill using a two-zone 3) Sear each sides of Ribeye for a couple of mins on hot side, then nice to cool side until it reaches 130 for medium-rare. 4) Place on cutting board, let is rest for a few mins.
My questions:
1) I heard that you actually shouldn't season a steak before you sear it, as that'll negate the seasoning? If so, when should it be seasoned?
2) What's the best way to keep the steaks (I'll be cooking more than 1, but I just reference 1 in this post) hot after it's done? Super noob question I know.
3) Are the above steps overall, correct?
Thanks!!
Edit: I meant "Noob" in the title but I can't edit it.
