Isn’t it odd that B. Riley’s is willing to buy more in BBBY stock than it’s entire market cap?

I went on there website and saw this…
I might be profoundly regarded but it seems odd that a company with a market cap of less than 1B is essentially entering into a contract to buy a company on the verge of bankruptcy for potentially as much as its own entire market value.
