Are Token Grants the first BAT used for tips?

Today I received a token grant, which surprised me seeing as I thought that program had been discontinued.
Anyway, I want to make sure I donate it before it expires, and I'd like to hold on to my earned BAT for now, so I was hoping to get confirmation that when I tip someone, the first source of BAT deducted for the tip will be the grant and not the ad revenue. Is this, in fact, the case?
