Uphold e-mail database quite probably leaked
Post Body

I have received a message today to an e-mail address that has only been registered with Uphold (the payout operator for BAT-subscribed publishers).

The message does not seem to be originating from actual Uphold servers, has an invalid DKIM signature, and is promoting some Ethereum ERC-20 token under the guise of another (legitimate) project.

There are a couple image trackers in the HTML version of the message, likely for "active e-mail" confirmation.

EDIT: I think they're using an external mail provider, Mandrill, no?.. Me getting this spam doesn't necessarily mean that Uphold's servers are compromised.
