Hello all! Not a dancer, just really into watching ballet and have a quick question. My absolute favorite thing, which seems to come up in basically every ballet I watch, is when a ballerina stands (usually on one leg/doing an arabesque) perfectly still, while her male partner holds her hands, leg or waist and walks around her in a slow circle. What's that called?
I don't know if I've described this in an even partially understandable way, but I absolutely love it, and it's in SO MANY, I assume it has to have a name. Does it?
Thank you all so much!
