Hey 👋 So I'm in a few adult ballet classes and in my class last night, we were doing a rond de jambe combination and my teacher couldn't remember the name of a step. He's in the ballet company that teaches the classes, and none of the other dancers could think of the name either. I'll try to explain it as best as I can.
So, I've only ever seen it done in rond de jambe combinations. There's one en dehors and one en arrière. Going from the front to the back, you start with a tendu with a plié on the standing leg, arm in first position, then do the rond de jambe while straightening the standing leg, all while your outside arm goes around and up so it's behind your head, straight out. From the back, it would be the opposite, with your arm starting in fifth over your head, sweeping down into a low first and straight back behind your head.
I really don't know if I've described this well at all, but if you can figure out what I'm talking about or know a name for this, please let me know!
