I just bought CRKT Woods Kangee Tomahawk Axe. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on some affordable aesthetic upgrades that border on quality upgrades at times. I'm using this hawk for throwing and interested how far I might take the hobby. While I'm not throwing I want to play around with it too.

Here are some things I'm thinking.

Leather strip to cross wrap the axe head and handle: leather, strip size, technique, Amazon recommendation?

Put a finish on the handle: cool style suggestions, something crazier than classic

Pattern on the blade: styles, tools needed

How to secure the head to the handle indefinitely
