They don't even have to give up technology or expansion of it. They can travel through space, make helmets to filter air, and even holograms. Put all this together and they don't need to strip Pandora's planet. They can strip anyone of the other moons around Pandora's planet. Heck maybe even use robots to do it. That can go towards most technology.

Adding to that, they can even make the kind of homes the Na'vi use or if not make mobile homes made from the minerals stripped from other moons.

This way the rules are not broken of Pandora and humans can enjoy our devices. The sad thing is, they probably won't even go for this. To much pride and greed.
