avpd is trapped trauma?

I think it could be possible that the reason we're so sensitive is because when we try to open up emotionally, it also brings up our past trauma where we couldn't express the shame we felt when we were younger. The shame just never resolved, and we never came to find that we aren't shameful so we keep feeling it again and again every time something goes wrong.
What do u think?
