Anyone else just want friends so they don’t look like a loser, instead of genuinely wanting a relationship with someone

I feel like everyone can somehow tell my selfish reasoning behind wanting to make friends. Simply because I don’t want to be seen as a outcast freak. I don’t care about people, I’m not interested in what they have to say, I have no desire to actually spend time with someone. I wish I wasn’t such an asshole. How am I ever going to be normal with my ulterior motives. No one wants a friend who is just using them to seem normal.
