Could you suspend a cab in a chassis?

Post Body

I have just had a thought and I came to ask you engineers if it was possible. Could a vehicle be designed in such a way that the operator and passenger area is suspended in a cab, inside of an extremely durable outerbody so that it can take a strong hit and the body not take much damage, but it is also not felt as much by the people inside. In place of designing crumple zones.
