I had some front end parts painted from a 2010 Tacoma, doing the front end conversion which consists of hood, bumper and grille. I purchased a brand new aftermarket hood and dropped it at the shop for painting. The shop did a good job on the bumper and grille, but to be frank, the hood looks like shit. I see a few drips, and a few chips that were definitely not there when I dropped off the hood. I called the shop and he said the drips can be buffed out ( I had no idea) and they can do something about the chip......but I really don't see how the hell can fix this even with a repaint. Of course, it's right on the very front edge too so very noticeable. The shop has a great reputation around here and was definitely not the lowest bidder, but this looks like second -rate work to me.
Also.... I'm no expert by any means but there appears to be a ton of orange peel on the hood. Maybe that's just how it is?
