Are these scratches handmade or machinemade?

It’s looks to be a bit of both. Possibly some dirt on the surface you were polishing, maybe a dirty pad or rag. I see some faint pigtails but there’s also some very straight scratches where you might have tried to wipe off excess polish/compound
