I have a new(ish) 535BMW (Black) and soon to get a new Acura MDX (probably Silver).
I'm sick of the terrible job that the car washes around here do (Lozarno and Harvs), and want to get a kit together to start washing and detailing the cars myself.
I've looked through a lot of the Adams videos (from the link in the sidebar) and found them very informative and helpful. So I figured I'd get Adams products based on the quality of their videos and on the comments here.
I started to put together the "minimum" list of things I think I'd need to do a good job at maintaining to new cars.
Inside - 12.95 Total Interior Detailer - 9.95 2 x Utility towels
Washing - 34.95 Adams Car Wash Trio - Mit Drying Towel Car Wash Formula
Clay - 29.95 Clay Combo - Clay Bar Detail Spray
Polish - Not sure
Wax / Seal - Not sure
Exterior Trim - 24.95 VRT - 1.95 Dressing applicator block
Windows - 12.95 Glass Cleaner - 9.95 2 x Glass Cleaning Towels
Wheels / Tyres - Use the VRT and same applicator block
Questions: I plan hand polishing and waxing the car. Trying to keep the initial costs down. Can I buy the SAME polish/wax etc... and use it by hand initially, and then if I get motivated but a motor powered thingo and continue to use the same products? Or are there products more suited to hand polish?
I saw the following on eBay click here
It appears to be close to what I'm after except its missing the Window stuff. But it has buckets and grit guards as well as polish and wax that appear to be different from the paint correcting and finishing polishes. Seems to be a good package based on what I'm after
Any thoughts or comments appreciated
