Anyone have experience with using microfiber cutting pads or wool pads on DA polishers? How’d they do compared to a tradition wool pad on a rotary?

Our shop uses Malcos “epic” polishing system and it’s pretty good, no complaints here.
However, all the techs, with the exception of one, are still using a wool pad on a rotary for the cutting portion of a cut and polish, but the one techs work has been looking immaculate lately.
Which gets me wondering if I’m missing out on something? My goal is to always learn, grow, and change my mind. Is it time to adopt this method myself?
