Divinity synergy question

I'm bishop 9 trying to break the ceiling into rook one and I'm having trouble underrating the divinity synergy . For some if you have more than one synergy activated it doesn't work , but for others you can have for example divinity , Druid , assassin and divinity will still work.
Is there something I'm not getting ?
