To start with, human synergy can be quite powerful, I'm not disregarding the power of a silence against a key unit. That being said its so RNG dependent and so inconsistent that it feels bad no matter what side you're on.
Not to mention, most of the units you are picking up that are humans, you're not picking up for their species bonus, but for their abilities or class bonus. This happens in other species as well, but not nearly as bad as in humans. Humans have some of the key units for some very strong synergies. Mages almost require CM and KOTL (Lina isn't bad either), warriors wouldn't be complete without Kunkka (Lycan is good too), and no dragon lineup is possible without DK. (Omni is also good in the knight lineup)
All of these units are viable in many of the strongest lineups in the game meaning you'll pick them up in almost every situation when going that lineup. This makes their species synergy almost an afterthought in most situations.
The main issue with this is that since these units are so individually integral to so many strong strats, their synergies can't be too good without the need to nerf these dominant strats.
I think the human synergy should be used to shore up the weakness that most human lineups seem to have rather than providing them with a heavy RNG chance to just outright win a round with a good silence (the disruptor effect)
Going back to disarm could be interesting, but I think human bonus could be something like a mixture of some of the other bonuses. Providing some MR/Armor to the whole team (a % amount perhaps) or buffing ability damage by a certain amount, or something else that feels consistent and strong without being unfair and RNG.
If anyone has any good ideas for human synergy I'd love to hear them, and please let me know if I'm in the minority for disliking the current human synergy.
