Post Body

I keep hearing and seeing that people find conversations difficult. I wouldve thought that at least autistic types would see the patterns and rhythms in conversations like I did and find them easy. Someone asks a question or makes an open ended statement and the ball is tossed your way. You reply with an answer and maybe a question or another open ended statement and toss the ball back to the other participant. Its just a game. Just answering the question exactly and nothing else or making closed ended statements is like dropping the ball on the ground. Its so frustrating trying to make so much effort to play with people in this way and people dont reciprocate. They just talk about how difficult conversing is and boring or how they just dont know what to say. Study. learn about your participant. There's tons of content to use for this game. I find keeping conversations going can be boring but the mechanics of it are fairly obvious to me.

All that said, I originally thought conversing was socializing so I focused alot on it. Turns out there's more to socializing than just conversations lol. Still haven't figured out the rest though.
