Got a job interview on Monday for care work. Driving to different clients houses in 1 of the 4 areas they cover each day. Shifts planned at least a week in advance. Plenty of overtime opportunities. Their hourly rate is decent, and their reimbursement per mile is 35p. My car costs 12p a mile. Plus they can offer training to obtain an NVQ. Further education and studies allowing for more specialised and better paid care work, and a career path.
Of late I've been tempted to get a 125cc CBT license again, which could make an even bigger saving on travel costs. Plus, eventually have it so the motorbike can be on the back of my van. As I'm happy to get rid of my car and use that to fund a bike purchase once the van is habitable.
