I suffer from severe codependency in romantic relationships. I'm trying to leave a romantic partner right now actually. But the pain is so severe that I keep acting opposite to how I want to. I am literally addicted to this person and romantic relationships. I tried AHA (the non-religious codependency 12 step program) but the members made me uncomfortable (they were making rape jokes, it was very triggering.) For my extra spicy neurodivergent folks that managed to overcome this gargantuan task, how did you do it? I love books and more concrete, actionable advice. I'll accept any advice but stuff too abstract (like 'just let them go and emotionally move on') usually doesn't work for me. Thanks for your help guys, I'm really suffering here. :(
