Do you think you should tell a autistic child that they are autistic? Why not and why yes
Post Body

The question I'm asking should or shouldn't tell a autistic child that they are autistic How would you tell them and what age. The reason why I ask this is because I hear about this lady who fins out that her daughter is autistic and she didn't want to tell. I thought is was mess up. What do you think about this situation as autistic people.

Comments

My parents chose not to, and I still don’t entirely trust them. I found out on my own at 19, after years and years of getting bullied and feeling like a complete unlovable outsider.

It, frankly, has set me back for the rest of my life.
