I recently found out about those two supplements (technically just carnosine, beta-alanine is its building block).
They were being trialed for children with autism and shown some promise at reducing social symptoms, improving sleep quality etc. Here's a table from this year's review which summarises the findings relevant for us: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10096773/table/nutrients-15-01770-t003/. Here's the full paper if anyone's interested: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10096773/#:~:text=Although it appears from the,ASD, and the available data.
Those are small studies and paper recommends further research, but there doesn't seem to be any side effects. Both are used as sport supplements too.
So, did anyone try and have personal stories?
