"Autism acceptance" is when you put a tracking device on your kid like an arctic bird, and what adults with autism, we all know it vanishes when you turn 18.../s 🙄
Post Body

I'm just upset that being an adult without children, these are the kinds of ads I constantly see on my phone, only because I am autistic... Mostly also it's usually stuff implying treatment I would consider subhuman = justified to keep us autistics under control. Like why would you put a tracking device on a child when it's either your own home security or your own supervision of the child, or who they're being left with, that's at fault when a child can't be found. And why is an autistic child who runs away treated like more of a risk of future flight than if they weren't autistic? Like an attempt to run is something a lot of NT children also do, but then they don't get tracking devices like a dog. And you have to account for a discrepancy in runaway incidents caused by abuse, and were more likely to be abused by caregivers.

(Sorry I just saw this and wanted to rant.)
