How to explain to my wife that my facial expressions don’t always match my actual emotions

I am still newly diagnosed with Autism and my wife doesn’t understand that sometimes just because I may look like I’m grinning doesn’t mean I am actually happy. I imagine it’s common for those on the spectrum to have trouble displaying our emotions, I’m also curious why I laugh when I feel uncomfortable or the timing is inappropriate due to the social rules society places for us. I’m finally seeing a psychologist who specializes with Autism who is awesome
