Post Body

I 31 have helping been take care of my nephew for the last 5years. He's a sweet kid, very smart and I'm proud of the milestones he's made. His mother and I both did agree homeschool would be best for now. And at first it was going well.. but she started working full-time shortly after he started. So I've had to take over. Admittedly I was excited at first but as the weeks continued it's become tedious and exhausting to run the lessons. I don't live with him and his parents but I do stay with them during the week and go home weekends. For the last year it's gotten harder mentally and physically, I don't think I'm cut out to do this anymore. I want to quit but the kiddo has really bad separation anxiety. His bio father isn't in the picture much anymore, his mother works full-time now, and I do feel like I'm abandoning him but what am I Todo when I'm just mentally done and no longer want to do this. I do want to finish this school year off at least. I don't want to add stress to my best friend to find someone else last-minute to watch him and do his lessons. Am I a bad friend?
