My son is around level 2 on the autism spectrum, and has a speech delay. He used to be almost nonverbal, but now he can speak in simple sentences. Lately, he has been talking to people in a very sassy manner. He calls people mean when he doesnât get his way, and will even call me a bad dad, or his mom a bad mom. He also tells people to âsay stopâ when he disagrees with something, and will tell us that weâre not listening to him. He also says it with a tone that can come off as snarky, and will raise his voice if it goes on too much. From time to time, he also tells people to go away in that same tone. My fiancĂ©e and I arenât sure how we can get him to stop talking to people like this. Has anyone else had this problem?
