Very worried Mama about middle school

Post Body

Hey Mamas. We just toured the middle school. My kiddo is (11) and has a pretty robust IEP even though he is high functioning. This summer he has regressed a lot and now have severe noise sensitive and crowds. I am waiting to talk to the adjustment counselor but I know he is in an inclusive classroom. At lunch time there are about 130 kids at one time. My husband and I were walking the halls and noticed my son just calming up. He doesn’t think he is going to handle and bus, the classroom size, transitioning to other classrooms, and in the first day they go into the auditorium. My husband and I both believe is is not going to be able to do the locker due to serious OT issues. We have already requested his IEP testing to be moved up immediately and he has nuero psych testing in the beginning of September. Does anyone have advice because I am freaking out. We are already calling the special Ed department but yeah I’m having an anxiety attack.
