Unmasking Autism did a great job at helping me learn that many behaviors, sensations, thoughts, feelings, and personal experiences weren't that there was "something wrong with me," as I thought my entire life, but that they were a part of being autistic and it allowed me to learn a lot more about myself and how my body and mind work when it comes to processing things and operating overall. More than that, it helped me accept myself more, embrace traits, and offered advice, strategies, and ways to help me express myself and make life more enjoyable, interesting, and fun when it comes to living a lifestyle that embraces being autistic, such as offering tips and ideas on how to express myself in terms of living spaces that are more comfortable and fun to be in as an autistic individual or mindsets towards time and energy that have allowed me to be a little less hard on myself. With that in mind, are there any other books out there you all could recommend that could help me further learn about myself, provide further confidence in myself, and offer ideas on lifestyle changes or choices that would help me live a happier and/or more comfortable life? I'm still discovering things about myself and about what it's like and what it means to be autistic, especially when it comes to recognizing certain thoughts, behaviors, and past experiences as being related to autism and it's been a life changing process so far. Thanks in advance! :)
