Feeling crowded in my own room.

Post Body

Does anybody else feel like they are being swallowed by stuff in their own room? My room isn't messy, or cluttered. And all that I have are things that I do / want to use. But it feels like no matter how much I give away or move or shift, it still feels like to much. But I have also had the other problem of the room feeling to empty.

Maybe it's my brain, maybe it's the fact I have lived in extremely crowded, cramped and cluttered spaced, as well as open, bare (to the planks beneath carpet), and torn up spaces that I feel my brain malfunctions and it feels like there is just to much going on sometimes.

It's hard to explain. The room is clean - I have less things then I have in the past years - finding and keeping only things that are practical, bring me joy, or have special sentimental value to them. But it still feels so overwhelming some days. Is it just me? Does anybody have any tips or tricks?

Have you considered getting a new comforter or bedspread? They take up a lot of visual space in a bedroom, so perhaps moving to something that is less stimulating could help...
