i don’t really have any “special interests” which i know lots of autistic people might have, from what i’ve seen, and i’m curious if anyone else is like that.

i like things but i can never get so into them that they become a “special interest”. like i enjoy music and if i find a new song i like i’ll listen to the song, but i wouldn’t go looking for the artist and more of their songs.

if there’s a show/movie i enjoy, i don’t google the characters or actors or learn about the cast. i like cats but not enough to look into specific breeds etc etc

sometimes i feel left out cause i see people hyperfixated on something and i think it’s cool that people can enjoy something to that extent, but ive just never been the type to and was wondering if anyone else felt similarly.
