When is an appropriate time to follow up on a job interview?

Post Body

So I had a job interview last Thursday and the guy manager seemed to really like me. He said he was going to call me later that day about an offer and I’m like okay cool…..he didn’t call me later that day or Friday and now it’s the weekend. Of course I’m spiraling because I really want this job ,but obviously they don’t want me right?? Everyone is telling me he probably got busy and will call Monday or Tuesday since Monday is a Holiday. So what should I do? Should I show initiative and call Monday? Or call Tuesday since Monday is the holiday? Or should I just leave it alone and sulk because I missed out on this job 🥹. I was talking to all the employees and we were getting along and the guy really seemed to want to hire me I just don’t understand why he didn’t call……please any advice 😭
