I'll go first.
- Doing weird things with your hands and feet. I constantly twist my hands/wrist in awkward positions, I also tend to curl my toes under themselves when I'm working barefoot at the computer.
- Laughing or smiling randomly at a silly thing you thought of and barely being able to keep your composure because it's so funny to you and you have to express your joy some way. God forbid if someone asks you what's funny and you explain it to them they think you're a maniac with a broken sense of humor.
- Getting an interesting phrase or saying stuck in your vocabulary and using it incessantly. (My current favorite saying is "slay".)
- Food fixation. It's like when you listen to a new song and absolutely love it and overplay it except it's with food. Current food fixation is papadum chips from Trader Joe's.
- "Faking anxiety". Second guessing yourself and thinking you may be imagining or exaggerating your symptoms when in reality you're just more aware of yourself. Also being aware of a symptom of autism that you don't have and thinking that it's evidence that you aren't autistic. You are all valid, loves. <3
