four day work weeks impossible in schools
Post Body

I've been hearing fruitless discussion about schools going into four days a week learning schedules and I think that is absolutely rubbish!

It would be hell for us teachers, with six hours a day and five days a week, we cannot teach all of our points in time or sometimes we have to scrap entire lessons just to make ends meet.

Sure it will give us an extra day of planning but to what extent will it make our lives better if we have to compress everything and deliever watered down versions of what we already condense?

I cannot find any other positive aspects of it as I believe it will stress teachers out more and dumb our students further. The only real advantage it would have, would be for the admin workers in the office or high flying execs who are already barely there.

There is already enough nonsense about shortening the duration of a school day.

If you do have a sensible argument to refute my points, then do so promptly.
