Good Evening,
I will start by saying maths has not been my strongest point and I have barely used it properly since 2020. My teaching degree (Primary) requires me to sit through the LANTITE test. I gave the Numeracy practice test a shot and I did not just fail but got absolutely destroyed by getting 28 out of 65 questions correct. Though I was expecting questions like "write one-fourth as a decimal" but those were nowhere to be seen. My strongest points are English and History and I was able to pass the Literacy Practice test without any problems. I'm on average a distinction/credit student in my BA course and even have a few HD's as well. I have passed previous maths units before in my BA course as well.
The prospect of having the past 4 years destroyed by some standardised test is putting me in a panic attack, no matter how much I look at other resources or practice the test again, I keep stressing about how I failed an "easy" Year 9 level math test. Then I start going on damage control and complain about how it only takes 4-6 months (since COVID-19) to finish the Police Acedemy but gruelling years just to even step foot in a classroom as a Pre-Service Teacher.
Does anyone have any reccomendations for this disgruntled twenty-something PST?
