Not a Scomo fan here but Iām prepared to accept the fact that a national leader does have a job requirement which requires them to be able to respond to critical issues at a moments notice. Iām certainly not implying thatās what happening here, draw your own conclusions however if we are going to set an example to others that it is possible to present a true āfair and balancedā opinion piece then itās only fair to highlight the fact that there does exist an extremely thin defensible position for an individual in his particular role.
Personally however Iām a fan of Occamās Razor in situations like this so make of it what you will.

Exactly. Which is why presenting both sides of an argument is important, and to present them with the facts behind them neutrally without bias. It's ok for the writer of an article to have and opinion so long as it is presented as such, and in context with their reasons for said opinion. But ultimately it should be left up to the reader to read the facts and make up their own minds about it. Not for an author to present their opinions as if they are the facts.
